Experience With over 35 years experience in public accounting, Jerry joined Walton, Joplin, Langer & Co. upon completion of military service, the majority of which was spent in the Office of the Chief of Staff, Army. He was a partner at the firm for over 30 years, sharing administrative responsibilities in addition to providing client services. Jerry joined Ahlbeck & Company in July 2004 as a result of the firm merger. Jerry is primarily involved in audit and tax engagements. Serving mainly industrial clients, including manufacturers and distributors, he is also qualified to perform Yellow Book audits under Government Auditing Standards for not-for-profit entities. His legal background provides expertise in addressing issues related to trust administration, estate planning and business formation. Jerry has also written newsletters for the firm as well as the Chicago Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants. |
Education
and Affiliations Jerry earned a B.B.A. from the School of Business Administration, Loyola University Chicago and graduated magna cum laude. He also has a J.D. degree from Loyola University School of Law. He was active in the Chicago Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants and has served as president of the Educational Foundation for Women in Accounting. Jerry is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Illinois CPA Society, Institute of Management Accountants, Illinois State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. |
